Three months ago Ken and I sat in our living room watching tv while Noah was away sleeping over Abuela and Abuelo’s house. “If you could go anywhere,” I asked, ” live anywhere, where would you go?” And that’s how it started. Ken and I began dreaming. What could life be like? Where could we go? What could we do? I expressed how I always wanted Noah to experience his culture. Being half Colombian/Ecuadorian, but living in central New Jersey, I felt like Noah needed to be exposed to more. Could we live somewhere where the primary language was Spanish? The short answer … yes.

From that evening on, Ken and I planned, dreamed, drafted, and decided. Yes. We could do this. We could abandon it all and travel. I could home school Noah. Ken could work from anywhere. We can do this.

And so, with courage and encouragement, we’re off on our adventure to, as Noah says, “live with the monkeys.” Our first stop will be Playa del Coco in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica.

We’ll be staying at the beautiful Green Turtle Villas, only .3 miles from the BEACH!!!

We don’t know what adventures lay ahead of us. We are excited, nervous, but thrilled for the opportunities we have been presented with. This site will allow us to stay in touch, update our families, and take you all with us! We can’t wait to share our adventures with you.
